Hey everyone!!!!
WOW!!! What a week!!! Its been incredible and let me just say miracles happen everyday multiple times a day!!! Hermana Carson is the best trainer!! She is so loving and patient with Hermana Hafen and I. We have learned so so much how to be a REAL missionary!! We were driving and we kinda got lost but then the street that we were on lead us to a back way to a neighborhood that we knew. We went to knock on a door that was a referral and we had been knocking for a while. Again no answer but we decided to go knocking on doors in that area. We turn the corner and there was a teenage boy about to go in his apartment but looked back right at us before he walked in. And we knew we needed to go talk to him. So we went and knocked on his door. And his name is Christian Garcia he is 18 years old and is just an amazing kid. He loves God but recently has just fallen away from him because of some tough things that has happened in his life. He wants to learn more about what we have to teach and wants his girlfriend to learn as well. We went again to see him last night but he wasn't home but his girlfriend Cynthia was home. So we taught her the restoration and she was so mezmorized by the picture of Joseph Smith seeing God the Father and His son Jesus Christ. It was an incredible lesson and she said at the end if we could come back a later time so that Christian and her could learn together. It was so great. An amazing amazing lesson! Also saturday night we were in a trailer park and we were just pulling out of it after reminding one of our other investigators about church the next day and Hermana Carson sees this family and says stop we have to talk to them. So we stop get out of the car and go talk to them. The moms name is Paula and the dad is Efrain and they have a 5 year old son and 13 year old daughter. Paula the mom has been through a lot in her life and just a lot of health issues. She has been searching for a long time to know which church is true and which to join. We told her we wanted to come back and teach her more but we had another appt that we had to get to so we scheduled for the next day. So we went to pick up the member that was coming with us and went to go the appt which was with Christian but on our way there he cancelled cause his girlfriend was sick. So we were just thinking well what do we do now. And we were thinking of all these things and none of them felt right. Then we thought well lets call Paula and see if we can teach her tonight instead. So we call and she says yes. We go over there. And it was the PERFECT lesson that everyone always wishes that have. INCREDIBLE!! WE taught the first lesson, the restoration with them. The spirit was sooooo strong!! I did the 1st vision, in spanish of course, and it was way way powerful!! They committed to church the next day and to read and pray about the book of mormon. The next day, sunday, paula came to church and loved it!!! They are our family that we have been searching for. It is families like them that are the prepared and the elect people. I know that the Lord wanted us to teach her and her family that night and that the truth of it is, Missionary work is what happens when plans fall through. Miracles happen. The Lord guides us in every step we make. We have been prompted and prompted over and over again of where to go what to do and what to say. I am so grateful for the guidance of him and his love and patience with me. I am so grateful to be out here on a mission. I know that I am here to bring others unto Christ so that they too can return back to our heavenly father. This is the true Gospel of Jesus Christ and if you don't know it then you find out because it has changed my life and I have seen it change others out here. Read in the Book of Mormon 3 Nephi 11 when Christ comes to the Americas. I read that this morning and there is no way you could deny that that happened. I know of a surety it happened. And I know without a doubt that Joseph Smith was called as prophet of God to restore this church. The Book of Mormon is living evidence that He was. I know that this is all true without a doubt in my heart. I am grateful for all the prayers, support and love from each and every one of you. Go out and Do the Lord's work! The Lord needs all of you to help forward this work as well!! Go out with the missionaries they need your help!! I love this gospel and am so blessed to be out here!!
